Use your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your GoDaddy username and password won't work here). Use your Port number (IMAP or POP) for incoming mail and your SMTP for outgoing mail. However, some email clients don't support Exchange, so you'll need to use your server settings to manually set up email.
We recommend using Exchange settings with your Microsoft 365 account. Note: If you are using GoDaddy Legacy IMAP account(s), we highly recommend that you migrate your accounts to Office 365 or another provider. Adding to it, follow each and every step sequentially to manually connect Office 365 to Outlook 2016 / 2013 / 2010 / 2007. Therefore, consider all the above steps to ensure a successful setup of Office 365 with Outlook account. Step 2.2 Enter Office 365 details In the following window, we need to provide the recipient E-mail address and credentials. Users are now aware of the configuration method of Office 365 with Outlook 2016, 2013, 2010, 2007. On the bottom right corner, select the Next option. We recommend updating your account to use Exchange settings (it might be listed as Office 365 or Microsoft 365, depending on your email client). Choose the Office 365 Tab and in the section: Microsoft Outlook connectivity test. Basic authentication is an outdated industry standard that'll be deprecated.
Note: Starting October 2022, Microsoft 365 accounts set up as POP and IMAP won’t be able to connect to their mailboxes in email clients using Basic authentication.
